WHAT IS IT
World Wine Tourism Day is one of the structuring events on the RECEVIN – European Wine Cities Network agenda, mainly because it has been an important moment of affirmation of Wine Tourism at the Global level.
For 10 years this initiative was celebrated only in Europe. This year we extended its celebration to a World scale, with the participation of Latin American countries, such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.
World Wine Tourism Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of November, and intends for all RECEVIN and AMETUR members to share, on a joint platform, initiatives and events related to tourism linked to the wine sector.
This day aims to disseminate the culture, heritage and traditions, as well as the wine producers and their wine tourism, thus valuing the vineyard territories. The project thus defends WINE as a cultural and intangible heritage of the territories and the people who produce it.
